The year-long celebration of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation
for Liberty’s (FNF) 25th Anniversary revs up as entries
to the search for The
Liberal Project, one of the programs organized for silver
jubilee, stream in.
FNF opened its office in the Manila in 1986. Since then, it
has worked with like-minded organizations in promoting democracy,
human rights, and free trade. “We at the Liberal
Party appreciate the support of FNF in educating the public
on liberal principles. We can look back to the many contributions
FNF has made in our journey towards achieving a Liberal Philippines,
by translating theories into practices that are applicable in
our work and even in our daily lives,” said LP Secretary-General
Jun Abaya in his speech at the FNF Anniversary program launch
on 19 June 2011 in Makati City.
During the activity in June, call for nominations for The
Liberal Project was officially opened. FNF spearheads the
search for initiatives that translate the impact of liberal values
into activities that improve communities. FNF will culminate its
anniversary programs in October with the Freedom Speech where
President Aquino has been invited to deliver the inaugural address.
