2006 IAF Workshops Tackle Issues of Global
|Theodor Heuss Academy in Gummersbach.
The program of the International Academy for Leadership (IAF) of
the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for 2006 is now available. As in
former years, the liberal Foundation will provide leadership
training courses for political friends and allies at its training
center in Gummersbach
, Germany. The workshops run from
one to two weeks and focus on issues of liberal concerns on a global
scale: local autonomy, human rights, deregulation and youth politics.
Next year's program will also have a stronger online focus with
no less than four online seminars. This means applicants will first
take part in an exercise via the Internet, and IAF will invite successful
participants to travel to Germany for the off-line course.
“The IAF programs have become one of the most popular courses
for our project in the Philippines,” said Dr. Ronald Meinardus,
resident representative of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in
Manila. With but a few exceptions all the participants
are members of the liberal family and belong either to
the Liberal Party or allied organizations.
