Foundation Congratulates Liberal Party
on Inauguration of New HQ

Members, friends and political partners joined the leadership of
the Liberal Party of the Philippines (LP) to formally inaugurate
the new party headquarters in Makati City
on December 16,
2005. Speaking to the many well wishers Senate President and LP
President Franklin Drilon said that the new premises are "a
most welcome development on the eve of the party's 60th anniversary"
Referring to recent internal developments within LP, the Senate
President added that the party "will come out of
this stronger, because we are a party of principles."
The entire staff of the Philippine office of the Friedrich Naumann
Foundation joined the ceremonies and the ensuing fellowship. Representative
Dr. Ronald Meinardus presented a poster sized collage of the LP
logo composed of pictures depicting political activities sponsored
by the liberal foundation. "This picture symbolizes
the close cooperation and friendship between the Foundation and
the Party," Dr. Meinardus said as he presented the
gift to LP Director General Chit Asis.
